This semester, my partner Olivia (in picture) and I were able to go to an IPS elementary school to help them train for the monumental marathon 5k. I loved working with the kids and trying to push them to do something they weren't used to. Race day was very cold but it did not hinder the excitement in the air. I ran with a kid named Dustin. He was the fastest from our school. I wanted to try and get him to finish in around 30 minutes. We almost did when we finished at 33 minutes! I enjoyed working with the kids and I hope we were a positive role model that they will remember in their future.
